Mercury Workshop: Looking deeper into the mythology of Mercury, as well as its placement in our own chart, we can uncover our talents and challenges when it comes to communication! Mercury is the messenger. The planet of communication, intelligence, and understanding. The planet of the Mind. How does the power of Mercury express itself in you? Is your Mercury in Aries or Taurus? Do you strike up conversations with strangers? Or do you stick tightly to your close friends? Is your Mercury in Virgo or Sagittarius? Discover Your Deepest Commitment: Wake up each morning with a full understanding of what your deepest commitment is for that day and for the future.
Guided meditations: Meditation reduces stress and anxiety, promotes emotional health, enhances self-awareness, lengthens attention span, keeps your mind young, can generate kindness, may help fight addictions, improves sleep, helps control pain, can decrease blood pressure. You can meditate anywhere. This simple approach to meditation will convince you that it’s much easier than you think and give you the tools to start a regular meditation practice.
Mindfulness practices: Throughout the retreat, we’ll practice different mindfulness practices that you can take home with you and do each day without adding any more stress to your day. We’ll explore mindful movement, body awareness, breathing, mindful walking, mindful eating, mindful listening, and more.
Simple yoga and QiGong movements: We’ll start each day with some slow and easy movements to get the energy flowing and center the mind.
Breathing techniques to minimize stress, get centered, tap into the intelligence of your body
Cold therapy: Benefits of cold therapy include increased circulation, increased energy levels, fighting infections, glossy hair, improved mood, even self-confidence. Ready to take a cold shower or take a plunge in the lake?
Healing power of nature: Contact with nature affects us mentally and physically, down to our cells. Spend a week surrounded by the Jeffrey pines in Tahoe, go for walks right outside your room, take part in a hike on Sunday and walk down to admire the beauty of Lake Tahoe. We’ll spend more of the Unhustle workshops outside so we can double up our benefits from learning and nature.
Biohacking 101: Biohacking is the art and science of changing the environment around you and inside you so you have more control over your own biology. Biohacks explored during the retreat are Bulletproof Coffee, cold therapy, light pollution, better sleep, nutrition and more.
Digital Wellbeing: We live in a world of information overload and distractions. Learn how to establish digital boundaries for improved focus, productivity, happiness, sleep, even relationships.
The Unhustle Morning™: We’ll wrap up all of our learnings from the retreat in this summary workshop. Walk away with a simple yet effective set of tools and techniques to get you going in the morning with clear intentions, energized the body and positive outlook.

This is not your typical retreat. And these are not your average instructors. Our experienced facilitators will make sure to provide an unforgettable experience and long-lasting relationships to continue your learning even after the retreat is over.

Milena Regos

Milena is the Co-Founder of Unhustle®, a Certified Human Potential Coach and Bulletproof Biohacker. A burnout digital marketer, she understands entrepreneur's challenges first hand. After experiencing burnout herself, she decided to completely transform her life to bring balance, presence, joy and wellbeing. She loves to spend time with her husband and her dog Taz, outside and unhustling. She has thousands of hours doing yoga, QiGong, mindfulness under the instruction of Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield, and Erin Woo (MBSR), cold therapy with Wim Hof, meditation with Light Watkins, and biohacking with God Father of Biohacking, Dave Asprey from Bulletproof.

A Calming Force. At a very young age, Alex began teaching meditation and mindfulness with noteworthy Gurus like Dr. Joe Dispenza, Wright Institute, and, of course, her mother & business partner, Sandy Rueve. Alex has facilitated retreats around the world dedicated to helping bring light, calmness, and clarity to those who are in search.

Having studied astrology for nearly two decades and widely known as the Optimistic Astrologer, Sandy Rueve hand creates clay beads with precise astrological timing to take on the energies available. Sandy blends art, astrology, and alchemy to help her clients reach their desires thru mindfulness and talismans.

Where the mountains meet the lake we’ll learn how to discover our gifts, explore communication and explore life truths. Through a series of gentle yoga and meditation, self care practices, astrology and transformational activities we’ll learn how to live our best lives.

Friday

7:00 am Mindful movement (simple yoga and qigong), breathing and meditation to focus your mind, energize your body, get centered, balanced and heal your mind and body, outside  (~45 min)  

8:00am Breakfast

9:00 am Workshop: Mercury & Personal Communication Types (~2.5 hours)

12:30 pm Lunch and mindful practices: mindful eating and mindful listening

2:00 pm Go from busy-ness to a state of peace. Tap into the intelligence of your body and allow it to guide you in the future. Learn a heart-based approach to life with stress minimizing techniques you can take home with you to be able to quickly tap into a state of peace, outside workshop (~30 min)

2:45 pm Mindful walk and cold therapy. Participate in a mindful walk (1 mile each way) to Lake Tahoe where we would practice the Wim Hof Method in the lake (deep breathing and cold therapy). Cold therapy is known for improving circulation and the heart, increased energy levels, improved mood, boosting self-confidence and fighting infections. Bring a swimsuit and a positive attitude. (~2 hours)

Saturday

7:00 am Mindful movement (simple yoga and qigong), breathing and meditation to focus your mind, energize your body, get centered, balanced and heal your mind and body, outside (~45 min)

9:00 am Digital Wellbeing Workshop. Minimize stress, distractions, and information overload while improving your health, stress, relationships. Biohacks for better sleep and apps to help you control your tech addiction (if you have one). Bring a journal to take notes. (~90 min)

11:30 am Early Lunch

12:30 pm Workshop: Astrology

1:17 pm Guided Meditation & Talisman Making

3:00 pm The Unhustle Morning Workshop. You’ve participated in different layers of the Unhustle Life so far in the retreat. We’ll take this opportunity to discuss the Unhustle morning and how it all ties together so you can start every day Unhustled and have the tools you need to go back to this state of peace during your day, from now into the future. (~1 hour)

Accommodations

The Venue

Granlibakken is located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, a few minutes away from the lake and Tahoe City. It’s about an hour from Reno Tahoe International Airport and 3.5 hours from San Francisco. 

It’s a historic lodge, dating back to early 1900s and a very comfortable place for meetings, weddings and wellness retreats with typical Tahoe lodge style. 

There are tennis courts, pool, hottub, adventure park, massage on site. 

You can see the venue here. 

We have reserved an entire building just for us and we have access to a meeting room and outside area just for our group, where we can do gentle yoga in the morning and hang out by the fire in the evening. The walking trails leave from our rooms. 

Rooms are based on double occupancy. Some of the rooms include kitchenette and a fire place and others are more basic. We would assign your reservation on a first come first served basis.

We will assign your room based on when you register, so it pays to register early. 

Lodge suite

The Lodge Suite is a one
bedroom suite with an alcove for extra sleeping arrangements, nestled in the
woods. This spacious suite can accommodate up to four people, with a king bed in the bedroom, and a sleeping alcove with a double bed. The Lodge suite has:

– one bathroom

– private balcony

– living room area with a fireplace

– dining area

– fully equipped kitchen

Food

The food at Granlibbaken is excellent. We will be working with Chef Ron Eber for a special menu for our group. Dietary needs can be accommodated. Please, let us know in advance.

People who can’t deal with things changing outside of our control (we are all about learning to stay present, breathe and being able to react to any situation life throws us). People with stiff personalities. People who can’t disconnect from their devices for long periods of time. (we would encourage digital detox throughout the retreat. You may be able to check in for 30 min each morning although we encourage that you leave your technology on airplane mode for the weekend.
