Finding time in hustle culture

Milena Regos

In a world obsessed with busyness and chasing success at all costs, we end up burnt out, stressed out, and lonely. At Unhustle, my vision is to shift this paradigm. It’s about finding the sweet spot between doing and real living, embracing a lifestyle that balances life enjoyment with purposeful achievement. This is the future I’m creating with Unhustle—a sustainable, prosperous future for ourselves, our families, communities, teams, companies, and the planet.

OUR WHY

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend. – Theophrastus

We kill time. We save time. We struggle for time but time is all we have. We dwell about the past and worry about the future too much without living in the present. What we do with our time on this planet is 100% up to us.

We all have the same amount of time each day. Yet some people are able to achieve great success in life, write books, build giant companies, have families, leave legacies. Others complain they don’t have time. It all comes from lack of priorities.

What if you created your ideal week today and stuck to it for 52 weeks? Where would you be a year from now? Do you think you’ll be more successful, healthier and happier? What’s stopping you? It takes 10 min to do this.

What prevents us from having more time in our days to do the things we want is our false priorities. We want to exercise more, but instead we spend 20 minutes scrolling on Instagram. We want to spend more time with family but instead we opt for watching Netflix for hours. It’s easy to say I’m too tired and I just want to relax. In reality, doing the things we love gives us more energy.

Where attention goes, energy flows.

Start today. Track your time for a week and see where your time goes. Are you working too many hours? What can you cut out of your day and still make the same if not more money? Is there something you can delegate and free up more time for you. By knowing where your time goes, you’ll know what to cut out. By knowing your priorities and honoring them every day, you’ll be happier and even more productive. There are lots of studies that have shown that relationship.

From now on stay the course every day. When distractions or projects try to steal your time, remember your priorities.
