After a decade as a CMO, winning marketing awards and breaking records, I felt undervalued and unsupported. The toxic work culture afftected my mental health.
I built my courage to quit and find a way out.
I started my own business. As most entrepreneurs do, I pushed myself and my team hard, achieving what society considers success. We even worked with Madonna. But instead of freedom and happiness, I ended up unhealthy, lonely and burnt out. A slave to a job I created. I realized the pressure was too much.
I was doing life wrong.
I ended up with a Hustle Hangover – no energy, brain fog and feeling miserable.
So I took time to reevaluate my priorities and my relationship with work and find a new way forward.
The common belief that hard work leads to success and happiness is simply not true.
Science and ancient wisdom know that when we feel good, when we are well rested, when we make space for what matters most, we can be more focused, productive, and creative and make the progress we want.
Being human is so much more than your ability to hustle.
As a certified Human Potential and ICF Coach, I’ve been on a mission to disrupt this toxic Hustle Culture mentality. I want to inspire and equip people from all walks of life – entrepreneurs, executives, and leaders to unhustle and create a balanced, joyful, and fulfilling life, doing the work they love. You don’t need to sacrifice your health, relationships, and time off to create Sustainable Success.
I’ve shared this counterintuitive idea at the World Economic Forum. I won the people’s choice award at Wisdom2.0. I’m starting to see signs of hope in a world of burnout. People are taking notice and realizing that what is right for ourselves is also right for our companies and right for the world.
