This policy explains how unhustle.com collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

1. Who we are

Milena Miteva-Regos (“I”, “me”, or “Unhustle” or “Milena Regos LLC”) operates the website unhustle.com and the associated publication The Unhustle Letter on Substack.

2. What data we collect and why

Newsletter signup (Kit / Substack)

Data: Email address, and any optional profile fields you submit.
Purpose: Sending The Unhustle Letter; managing your subscription.
Legal basis (GDPR): Consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
Processed by: Kit and Substack as data processors.

Contact form (Tally)

Data: Anything you choose to include in your message.
Purpose: Inquiry for the Baja Gathering.
Legal basis (GDPR): Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).

Baja Gathering application (Tally)

Data: The application form collects:
- Identity and contact: your name, email address, and location (city and country).
- Background: a brief free-text description of what you do.
- Application responses (open-text): the moment that made you want something different, what you are ready to let go of, what you bring to a gathering of peers, your prior retreat experience, and any other context you choose to share.
- Self-assessment: a self-reported burnout score on a 1–10 scale.
- Logistics: confirmation of your ability to commit to the full gathering dates.
Open-text answers may contain personal reflections you choose to disclose. Sharing is voluntary; submitting the form constitutes your consent for me to read, evaluate, and respond to your application.
Purpose: Reviewing and processing your event application; communicating event details.
Legal basis (GDPR): Pre-contractual steps / performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Submission of the burnout score and open-text reflections relies on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
Processed by: Tally as a data processor.

Website analytics (Google Analytics)

Data: Pages visited, approximate location (country/region), browser type, device type. Google Analytics may also set cookies and collect your IP address, which Google may use subject to its own privacy policy.
Purpose: Understanding what content resonates; improving the site.
Legal basis (GDPR): Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — you will be asked via a cookie banner before analytics cookies are set.
Processed by: Google. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

3. How long we keep your data

Newsletter data is kept for as long as your subscription is active, plus a reasonable period thereafter unless you request deletion.
Contact form data is kept only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry, typically no longer than 12 months.
Baja Gathering application data is kept for the duration of the relevant event cycle plus up to 12 months.
Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months subject to Google Analytics’ retention settings, which can be adjusted in your Google account.

4. Third-party processors and international transfers

Data is processed by Kit, Substack, Tally, and Google Analytics. Each operates under its own privacy policy and is responsible for its own compliance. Links to their policies appear in Section 2 above.

Some processors are based in the United States. Where required by GDPR, transfers to the US are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework as applicable.

5. Your rights

EU / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to delete it, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information.

All visitors

Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

To exercise any of the rights above, email milena@unhustle.com. I will respond within 30 days (or within the timeframe required by applicable law).

6. Cookies

This site uses cookies in the following ways:

Strictly necessary: Session cookies set by Tally and Kit to keep forms functional. These do not require consent.
Analytics (optional): Google Analytics cookies are only set after you give consent via the cookie notice. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your cookies or using your browser’s opt-out settings.

No advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

7. Children’s privacy

This website is not directed at children under 16. I do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted data to this site, please contact me at milena@unhustle.com and I will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a material way, I will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify subscribers. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
