Reward the effort, not the outcome.

We live in a world of anxiety over life itself (now considered the next pandemic.)

Always rushing to the next thing.

Always in a hurry.

Always doing too much in too little time.

Always chasing an outcome, and not rewarding ourselves in the process.

The result is burnout and exhaustion.

Life is full of peaks, valleys, mountains and everything in between.

According to the latest brain studies, it’s about the effort along the way to the outcome not the actual outcome itself.

This was supposed to be a trip to celebrate sending my book to my editor. I found this magical treehouse resort, ACRE close to Cabo.

But hey, life gets in the way. I’m still working on the book while allowing myself to celebrate the small wins along the way with nature, adventure, friendship, and lots of pool time. Creativity flows easily when we allow instead of try to push forward.

Which also happens to be the cure to anxiety.

So, rewarding yourself along the way is more than OK.

Trying hard is a useful skill in achieving what you ultimately want. If you want to do something hard (like writing a book) it comes down to training your brain to value the effort not simply the goal.

I’ve learned that it’s more than OK to give yourself space to unplug so you can reconnect, find clarity, shift perspectives, indulge in self-care, and learn to trust yourself again.

Give yourself permission to slow down.

To zoom out.

To unwind.

To gain clarity and perspective.

To recharge.

To become present.

Celebrate the little wins along the way.

It’s OK to make time to breathe, to just be, to engage in radical self-love, to listen, to dream big and most of all, to enjoy the journey.

If you want to be the first to hear when I launch the book, you can get on the Unhustle book waitlist, here

Did I say I’m in love with this treehouse place?

Why?

It’s a brilliant idea to stay in treehouses, on top of the palm trees. Talk about getting back in touch with nature.

Great customer service. Everyone is well trained and anticipates your needs. They’re genuinely having fun at work.

Great food.

Their marketing slogan is Rest. Relax. Recalibrate.

This is what a completely transformation Unhustle experience is all about.

OK, now back to writing. Wish me luck!
